Swinging his legs to the side of the bed, Chris stood and walked toward the open door. He peered through to the other side. His breath caught in his throat. He needed to back away but found he couldn't.
D.J. stood with her back to him as she searched through her suitcase for clothes. Her russet hair, gleaming with moisture, curled wildly about her head. The white towel wrapped around her naked body reached from her breasts to the curve where her buttocks met her thighs.
She bent forward to pick up a shirt, and the towel rode higher, giving him an enticing glimpse of a taut but round derriere. Chris clenched his teeth and fought the urge to step into her room and touch what he should not see. His fingers curled around the doorjamb.
D.J. straightened with a shirt in her hand and dropped the towel. His fingernails dug into the wood. She raised her arms to pull the green thermal shirt over her head. The muscles of her shoulders and back flexed and relaxed. She reached for a pair of white cotton underpants and slid them up her long legs.
Then she turned and saw him in the doorway. She froze, her eyes widening with shock, her face paling a shade. Her breathing quickened, drawing his glance to her chest. As he watched, her nipples, unhindered by any undergarment, hardened to peaks beneath the clinging material of her shirt.
